We provide care and education for young children between the ages of two and five years old.
We aim to make our Pre-School genuinely accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community regardless of race, colour, gender or creed. We welcome children with special educational needs and undertake to consider all applicants and their individual circumstances in a positive and unbiased manner. Should we feel that the provision we are able to offer would not meet the requirements of a particular child we will make every effort to help and advise on the best provision.
We are registered to take up to 24 children in any session but can only take up to a maximum of 8 children under the age of 3. Because of this we have a limit of 2 sessions per week per child for children under the age of 3. A registration fee of £10 is requested when you confirm a place for your child, which is refunded, on your first half-term bill.
Please notify the Pre-School Manager or Deputy Manager of any requests for changes, cancellations or additional sessions. Such requests will be accommodated as quickly as possible.
The parent or carer of any child who requires routine medication must provide full details on the registration form for insurance purposes.
These are held Monday to Friday 9.15am to 11:45pm, in addition on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday's we are open 12:00pm to 2.30pm, this includes a Lunch club. We are open Term time only. We ask that children arrive promptly for insurance and supervision purposes. Parents are welcome to chat with staff at any time, or can communicate with staff via the contact book issued for each child.
Additional sessions to those already booked may be available for children without prior notification – please telephone Pre-school from 9.00 am on the morning of the session, on 07930 963638. All fees for additional sessions are payable on the day.
We also offer the facility of Lunch Club, at present available on Thursdays, 12pm-1:15pm with a fee of £4.50 per lunch club session.
If you decide, for whatever reason, not to bring your child to a session, the staff would appreciate notification by telephone call.
We charge £8.00 per session. Extra sessions are to be paid for on the day. There is a link fee of £3 if a child is to stay all day, as there is a 15 minute interval between the morning and afternoon sessions.
We are in receipt of nursery education funding for three and four year olds, where funding is not received, then fees apply. The entitlement of a funded child is 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year. This matches Langham Primary School term times.
Bills are issued at the beginning of each half term and should be paid within 14 days, we will make a late payment charge of £5 if paid after this date. Please contact our Treasurer or Chairperson if you should ever have a problem.
Cheques should be made payable to Langham Pre-School. If paying by cash, please enclose in a sealed envelope that has your child’s name and amount of money clearly written on it. We also accept childcare vouchers from most schemes now.
Please notify staff if you know your child will be absent for whatever reason. Unfortunately refunds cannot be given if your child is absent for any reason including illness and holidays.
For your child to keep her/his place at the Pre-School, you must pay the fees.
