This week we have been coming together as a group to do playdough gym. The children experienced squeezing the dough and moving to music whilst they listened to instructions from an adult.
We have also been to the woods in small groups to explore and collect resources to bring back to Pre-School for the mud kitchen and craft activities. The children were able to identify some of the various items and showed an interest in collecting bugs to bring back for the bug hotel. We have used some of the resources for sticking and leaf printing. This encouraged the children to talk about the changing weather and the leaves turning a different colour. With the weather changing, we have been doing more physical activities in the garden such as football and large scale construction. The children have recognised that there are different shaped construction pieces. Next week we will extend shape activities to develop our knowledge.
