I am sure your children have informed you if they are becoming a lion this term! Some children were so excited. If your child starts school in September 2020, they are now a lion. If your child starts school in September 2021, they are now a bear. The lion’s day is more structured towards learning than the younger ones. (Although lots of play opportunities are still offered). We will be starting phonic lessons very soon. The lions will also have small worksheets to complete to encourage pencil control; they will also start looking at shapes and numbers in more depth. Please speak to a member of staff if you have any questions. Maria will be giving out a copy of the phonic actions to help you understand what your child is learning. Please make sure all children have a bookbag (to be bought daily), slippers in their drawer, a water bottle (clearly labelled), as well as spare clothes on their peg (again clearly labelled). Can you please make sure we have the correct email for your family, as weekly emails are sent out and we don’t want any family to not be getting the information contained in them.
