Our week at Pre-School

Posted on November 22, 2019 by LPS1

We have had a very busy week this week! On Monday we had a busy day with the photographer, and all the children participated in having pictures done. The photographs are ready to collect and look beautiful!

On Tuesday we continued our Christmas craft by doing window silhouettes and continuing with our Christmas board.

On Wednesday the children decorated the Christmas tree and they really enjoyed the experience. We also did big drawing on card on the floor which they also loved.

On Thursday we continued with more Christmas craft by making Christmas trees for the board, stockings and lots of large messy craft.

On Friday we made cork faces, the children were able to put hair on the faces and talk about the different features we have, for example, different eye colour. We also played a colour and shape game where we matched the colours with a shape. It gave opportunities such as taking turns and colour/ shape recognition.

Following on from last week, we also made cakes where the children spoke about measurements, what ingredients we were using and where they came from. The children then had fun decorating them with icing and edible glitter! If your child did not get to do this, please do not worry as we will be following this up again next week 😊

Have a great weekend everybody! We look forward to having more fun next week.
